Blackfeet Renaissance: Reimagining a Reservation Community is dedicated to community empowerment and creative community development. Our platform encourages sharing ideas in areas that may include building a local, dynamic reservation economy, beautifying the community, creating a renewable and sustainable climate, and engaging community involvement, which may form the basis of equitable growth and revitalization.
Susan Webber has lived on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation for a lifetime. She and her brothers grew up in the family home along the Lower Two Medicine River on the south side of the reservation. Later, they attended Cut Bank Creek Indian Boarding School when a natural disaster destroyed their home.
She serves as a Montana State Senator representing parts of four counties and two Indian Reservations, the Blackfeet and the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. She is an author, educator, tribal leader, politician, and historian of tribal and family history.
She is the founder of Blackfeet Renaissance: Re-Imagining a Tribal Community.
